Businesses face critical challenges. Staying in business is never certain and the task is always stressful and arduous.
Most difficult of all, small business owners often work alone and in isolation, with no one person or group to address their issues and solutions. The obstacles are endless:
- Finding qualified workers,
- Securing affordable credit,
- Carrying the crushing weight of health insurance,
- Navigating the maze of government regulations,
- Financing the ever-increasing burden of taxation.
As a businessperson, you confront these challenges daily. You can’t do this alone. That’s why a dynamic group of businessmen and women have come together to rally around the needs of Maryland’s business owners.
While everyone in the state of Maryland recognizes the growing importance of business, particularly in the small- and medium-sized sector, no group exists to defend and advance the interests of those entities here. None. That is until now.
For this reason, a group of Maryland business leaders have given
life to a new organization devoted to address the continuity of
interests and issues that face small businesses in our state. The
Maryland Business Council is the result.
